QuickConvert is a tip, unit, and currency calculator. It doesn't ask you to create an account, and it doesn't collect or sell your personal information. This page explains, plainly, the few places data moves at all — what the app itself stores on your device, what its advertising and payment providers handle, and how to reach us with questions.
Your bill amounts, tip percentages, and conversion values are calculated entirely on your device and are never saved once you leave the app or type something new — every calculator resets when you reopen QuickConvert.
A small set of preferences are saved locally, using your device's standard local storage (UserDefaults on iOS, SharedPreferences on Android), so your choices persist between launches:
None of this ever leaves your device. It isn't sent to us, isn't backed up to any server we run, and isn't linked to your identity in any way — because we don't have a server to send it to.
QuickConvert is free to use and shows ads through Google AdMob (banner ads and occasional full-screen ads). To show relevant ads, AdMob may use device identifiers such as your device's advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, advertising ID on Android).
On iOS, QuickConvert asks for your permission via Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt before any identifier is used for personalized advertising. If you decline, or turn tracking off later in Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking on your device, QuickConvert continues to work exactly the same — you'll just see non-personalized ads instead.
On Android, QuickConvert uses Google's User Messaging Platform to request your consent before loading any ads, as required for users in the EEA and UK under GDPR. Ads are only requested after that consent flow resolves, and you can review or change your choice through Android's own ad settings at any time.
Google's handling of this data is governed by Google's own privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy, and their AdMob-specific disclosures at support.google.com/admob/answer/6128543.
You can remove all advertising permanently with the one-time "Remove ads" purchase in Settings — see below.
The "Remove ads" purchase is processed entirely by the app store you downloaded QuickConvert from — Apple's StoreKit on iOS, Google Play Billing on Android. QuickConvert never sees, collects, or stores your payment details, card number, or account credentials; that transaction happens directly between you and Apple or Google, governed by their own privacy policies.
Currency conversion rates are fetched from Frankfurter, a free service that republishes European Central Bank reference rates. These requests ask only for current exchange rates — no personal or device-identifying information is included or required.
| We don't ask for | Because |
|---|---|
| An account, email, or sign-in | QuickConvert doesn't have accounts |
| Your name, contact list, or photos | Nothing about the app needs them |
| Location data | No feature in the app uses your location |
| Payment or card details | The app store you downloaded from handles the one purchase QuickConvert offers |
QuickConvert carries an all-ages rating on both the App Store and Google Play, but it also isn't designed to collect personal information from anyone, child or adult. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children.
If this policy changes, we'll update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of QuickConvert after a change means you accept the updated policy.
